Vicotee aims to support any type of LoRaWan network out there, that means, that almost all possible network configuration parameters must be exposed to the end user.
For instance, you may run basic setup with Multitech MultiConnect LoRaWAN Gateway, that means the Application EUI and Application Key are fixed and cannot be changed, Hence, our devices need to have the ability to modify their Application EUI and Key during commissioning phase in order to be able to join their network.
Another example, you run a multiple gateways with Loriot solution on top of them, your setup does not allow enrolling devices with specific Application EUI and Key, a unique one-time app key is generated for a given device once it's enrolled into the network, again, we need to adapt and be able to change these parameters on our devices.
Yet another example, you run multiple gateways based on Actility solution, your setup allows enrolling any device with any Application EUI and Key combination, so no additional configuration is required from our devices.
Among these things we also allow customer to further customize our nodes by specifying the type of network (public/private), modify the data rate settings etc and upload specific drivers to achieve a full-blown event driven sensing solution which can lower the overall traffic in the network and lower the total power consumption per device.
USB LoRa Config Gateway
USB LoRa Config Gateway Application
The application has two mode: Basic and Advanced. In Basic mode, you can configure your devices with new Application EUI, Application Key and Device EUI. Enter new values you want to configure your device with and click the "Start Scan" button to allow USB Gateway to scan for devices and re-config them.
Go to "Start The Device In Configuration Mode" section to read more about how to start the devices in configuration mode.
You have more advanced options to configure your devices in this Advanced mode.
Caution: You will permanently overwrite the current settings in your device with new values from the application. The device may stop working until the LoRaWAN gateway is configured to accept new settings from devices.
Once the application found the device (in configuration mode), it will send commands through USB LoRa Config Gateway to the device. When configuration is done, the device will reboot itself back to normal mode.
